The Way Back Home

Isaiah 6:20-21 . . .

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee; hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be past. For, behold, the Holy One cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

More important than any place you could go (a church. a temple, a synagogue, etc.) your chamber, your dwelling place . . . your home is a sacred space. For the Nation of Israel, Yahshar’el, our “home” is our sanctuary and in Deuteronomy Chapter 6, we are firmly grounded. We listen closely and obey the words of the Most High’s voice.

Home is where we care for ourselves. Home is where we renew our spirits and re-establish our balance of energy. Home is where we train and raise up our children. Home is where we cry out to YAH and intimately pray. And, home is where we can be at rest, at peace. It is in our homes, every Shabbat, we retreat to a sacred place, a timeless place, an eternal place of Shalom. While chaos is upon us on all sides, here we are safe from our enemies, the wickedness of the world.

Home is more than a geographical location. You see, we are a set-apart people. As it is written (Apocrypha, Ecclesiasticus 17:17), in the division of the nations of the whole earth, the Most High set a ruler over every people, but Yahshar’el is HIS portion. Our roots of ancestry, our heritage, our celebrations and commemorations, our expressions, the very truth of who we are, our living, our moving, our being, is in him. While the Most High is spirit and cannot be contained, he is in everything we do, he is everywhere we go. And, everything begins at home.

He is “The Place.” He is our home. We are in an everlasting covenant, living the commandments, following HaMashiach; and, the Most High’s angels, his ministering spirits are in our midst, in our dwellings. For, the eyes of the Most High are in every place, beholding the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3). Our ways are ever before him and shall not be hid from him. (Apocrypha, Ecclesiasticus 17:15).

But you don’t want to hear all that after being cooped-up inside and having your life turned upside down, right? Who wants to stay home? The nations are ditching the masquerade, breaking out and tripping over themselves to be seen and heard. Whether it be to party (pell-mell to the wind), to protest, to march for political promise, or to just feel free, people all around the world are taking to the skies and the streets just to get away. Of course, a little recreation, adventure and vacation, surely; but, if you find yourself running from the reality of the life you’ve created and cringing at the thought of having to go back . . . home . . . (Hmmm).

Let Me Entertain You (Says the World)

The heathen are sorrowing for the life they once had, the things they used to do—the go, go, go, here, there, and everywhere, avoiding home because they need a distraction from all that’s throwin’ down on earth. (Home’s too quiet. They can hear themselves.) If you’re itchin’ for everything to get back to normal, then you’re probably living in a home that feels like a prison—dark, crowded and lonely, and bored.

For the world, the home is better served up as an icon, a status symbol, a place to kick it, to ditch their dirt—not a sanctuary, where a person can shut the world out and really see the truth of themselves. Looks good on the outside, but on the inside, all hell.

For example, people are pining for schools to open back up because their children are not safe. No one is at home to watch over the children, or whoever is at home, they don’t want their child home with them. Domestic violence and abuse . . . suicides . . . to know that for some children, schools are safer than their homes . . . (breathe) man is really in a bad place.

If your chamber is without trust; if you are dwelling without purpose, you probably can relate to what I’ve just shared. I don’t care how you are living or where you are living, it is past time you get your house in order. It’s time to find your way back home, to the life YAH designed for you to live.

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee . . . (and repent).

“Have you heard, Abraham, what I told you, what your tribe will encounter in the last days?”

How long has it been, a year? Nearly, two years? (And, people were ready to snap in the first few months of lockdowns.) As the plagues (yes, the plagues) of our second Exodus take hold and everything crumbles around us (literally) these Last Days have exposed the wickedness, the fragility and the corrupt foundations of world religions, philosophies, political organizations, governments—all the systems that be. Hello. Babylon is falling.

I think of our first Exodus out of Egyptian enslavement . . . the methodical release of the then ten plagues . . . first the blood, the frogs, lice, flies, pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and finally, the death of all firstborn. It didn’t take place in the blink of an eye . . . it took place over time . . . over years, as if it were for a little moment. What did it require from us? Our obedience.

The Second Exodus (Present Day Reality)

In the Apocalypse of Abraham, Chapters 30 through 32, and what is yet upon the earth this day, behold the ten plagues: . . . The sorrows from much need (much loss) . . . fiery conflagrations (extensive, destructive fires/drought, tsunamis and floods) . . . destruction by pestilence among the cattle . . . famine of the world, of their generation . . . among the rulers, destruction by earthquake and the sword . . . increase of hail and snow . . . wild beasts will be their grave (devouring of mankind) . . . pestilence and hunger (on top of one another) . . . execution by the sword and flight in distress . . . and finally, thunder, voices and destroying earthquakes.

Yes, these are the ten plagues the Most High has prepared beforehand and is unleashing now, slowly . . . a little here, a little there. Look out your window and see the confusion, death and mayhem. Open your eyes. Yes, these things are already upon us and increasing, like a birthing pain, heavy upon itself, overtaken by another, and another. Watch. Listen. The flight in distress has already begun. The wicked, the heathen, they are running now. But, Yahshar’el, you don’t have to fear.

“Can’t Get Right”

And, you don’t need to cry out to these world leaders, either. They have no power. They are not in control. You don’t belong to them. Know you not your Savior? Get out of the streets and go back home. Get on your knees and cry out to the Holy One. For, the Most High YAH is an enemy to our enemies and a foe unto our foes.

I am not saying we are all to become homebodies, no, not at all. I am saying there is a work to be done (in your life) and it starts in your chambers. Besides, if you can’t get it right at home, you can’t get it right anywhere. Sounds pretty cliche, but home is where the heart is. Is your heart in The (right) Place?

Are you being willfully ignorant and denying the truth; or, are you willing and seeking, but you’re existing in an environment where you’re not being heard or received, and you just don’t know what to do? Only YAH can direct your steps and get you in the place he needs you to be.

Abraham, having heard, accepted the words of the Most High in his heart.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

If you study the sacred scrolls of the Apocalypse of Abraham, you will find that not everyone will find their way back home. Liken to the words of Job, He shall return no more to his house. Neither shall his place know him anymore (Job 7:10). A troubling number, two-thirds of our people, just won’t get it right. They will perish along with the wicked. They are perishing now.

“What about the way back home?” (you ask?) I encourage you to hear YAH’s voice. Enter into thy chambers and shut thy doors about thee. Humble yourself. Turn again to the Most High and turn away from your iniquities. It’s the only way.

May you hear, hold to the promise, and obey.

And, Study Well!
